Education Foundation Lena, Ill. — The Lena-Winslow School District is joining many schools in the area by establishing an education foundation. What makes it unique is that it is a consolidated district that will draw from people with affiliations to the former Winslow School District, the former Lena School District, or the current Lena-Winslow School District. |

JH Students Visit the Freeport Art Museum 
On May 10th, 7th and 8th grade art students visited the Freeport Art Museum and learned specifically about mideast art, Egyptian hieroglyphics and culture, and also made clay hieroglyphic tablets. Thank you for the experience FAM! |

As you drive around Lena, please take notice of the new banners. There are five different designs which welcome visitors and promote the District, the Elementary, Junior High, High School and Education Foundation. |

Donations for Turkanaland, Kenya Mrs. Erb, Elementary Music Teacher, is traveling to Turkanaland, Kenya over summer break. She will be working with a nomadic people group. The Elementary School is supporting her by collecting donated items for the trip. Boxes are located in the Elementary lobby. |
